What is a "membership site"? From my searches on this topic, it seems like "membership sites" are all a bunch of scams or semi scams. They seem to follow the exact same pattern:
1) start off with an introduction, then
2) an explanation about how YOU can make money, and finally,
3) a reminder to become a member and pay them $100 (or something)
In return, they may give you something, but whatever they give you is probably worth no more than 2 US dollars.
What is the deal with these "membership sites"? Is that basically an accurate summary of what they are? Why are there so many people blogging about it and making videos about it on youtube as if they know some kind of special secret, while in fact they seem to have absolutely NOTHING to offer.
On the other hand, it seems as if some of them are quite successful at getting lots of cash. Are they just good at fooling people into buying their "stuff"?

Alright, so I’m a teacher who is just starting her 2 month summer vacation!! After some tinkering around online I am ready to make some extra money with all of my free time. I’m not looking for any Advertisements, just someone who is maybe just starting to look as well. I figure if there are people starting something the same time as me we can help each other.
